About Private Screenings

Through Private Screenings, we're bringing you the opportunity to not only hear original music from artists making waves throughout other regions of the country, but also to see them perform live in an intimate setting right here in Phoenix.  Private Screenings brings you the chance to hear artists that we don't typically get to hear on Phoenix radio.  This is the opportunity to hear music being played in other markets like Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, New Jersey, L.A., New York and Dallas.  

About JaLi The Gentleman

Coming to perform at our first Private Screening is JaLi The Gentleman (pronounced Jay-La), a passionate young up and coming balladeer is being described in the industry as a promising old school type singing talent with a modern sound and swagger. JaLi is making his vocal aplomb known in the music world with his new debut love song “Mirrors.”

Unlike some singers in urban or youth orientated music that exude a hard edge, JaLi has a softer and more refined side to his swagger.  He’s not afraid to share his emotions and he loves good ole fashioned ballads.

Born in Columbus, Georgia and raised in Phenix City, Alabama, JaLi and is a product of a supportive southern family.  His moniker JaLi, is a derivative of Jay Fly, a nickname given to him because of the nice business attire he wore everyday while in a co-op business program in high school.  JaLi credits church as incubating his first forays into music.  As a teenager JaLi met a group of brothers that had the same passion as him vocally so they formed a group, wrote and recorded some songs and passed them out to everyone they knew. His mom also put him and the group in every show possible. The response to their music was nothing short of inspiring.

JaLi credits his life experience with giving him his deep appreciation for love ballads. He has revealed qualities he desires in a love interest as “God fearing, loving, respectful, loyal, and can throw down in the kitchen among many other things!” When asked what we should expect in his upcoming album and projects JaLi states “songs with substance, beautiful love melodies, and deep thoughts recorded with a back in the day sound.”
